The Moon does not rush her becoming—
she waxes and wanes,
grows bright and disappears,
and in each form, she is whole.
These rites are a remembrance of that truth within you—
that growth and rest, creation and release,
are not opposites,
but partners in our sacred rhythm.
Purpose: to align your inner life with the rhythm of the Moon—honoring the cycles of intention, creation, reflection, and renewal.
Use: to create monthly rituals of presence and alignment. You may practice one rite each phase or simply visit the one that calls to you most in this season.
New Moon - The Rite of Planting
Reflection: In darkness, the seed begins.
Action: Write a single intention on paper. Hold it to your heart and whisper:
“May what begins in darkness grow in grace.”
Bury or place he paper somewhere she until the Full Moon.
First Quarter - The Rite of Courage
Reflection: The sprout breaks through the soil—it meets resistance and light.
Action: Take one bold step toward your intention, no matter how small.
As you act, say:
“I write with courage. I meet what comes.”
Full Moon - The Rite of Illumination
Reflection: All is seen in this light—what has grown true, and what has grown wild.
Action: Under the moonlight (or candlelight), hold your hands open and whisper:
“I stand in my fullness. I bless what is revealed.”
Breathe deeply, letting the light cleanse and charge your spirit.
Last Quarter - The Rite of Release
Reflection: What once bloomed now returns to earth.
Action: Write down what you are ready to release. Burn, tear, or bury it, saying:
“I let go with love. I make space for rest.”
Condensed Version:
May what begins in darkness grow in grace.
I rise with courage.
I stand in my fullness.
I let go with love.
